Did you know? HanaHaus is part of SAP’s New Ventures and Technologies (NVT) unit whose mission is to shape the next generation of enterprise solutions by pioneering emerging technologies, incubating new products and business models, and accelerating startups.
Last week we were in for a special treat —NVT Leaders visited HanaHaus in Newport Beach and Palo Alto to meet fellow colleagues and get a glimpse of our vibrant coworking community.
__________
HanaHaus proudly welcomed SAP’s New Ventures and Technologies (NVT) Head of NVT, Martin Heinig and Chief Operating Officer, Johanna Biesalski from Berlin. Although their 13-hour journey was long, their visit was highly anticipated since the beginning of the pandemic. This was their first visit to see HanaHaus in action and its influence among the new generation of flex work.
Martin Heinig, Johanna Biesalski and Hans-Martin Will held an informal coffee corner with NVT colleagues, including the Head of HanaHaus Newport Beach, Julia Schlier, and Head of HanaHaus Palo Alto, Collin Sommerhauser, to discuss important topics regarding the impact NVT and HanaHaus have within SAP.
You’re probably wondering, how does HanaHaus contribute to NVT’s mission? The role of HanaHaus is to create a meaningful connection with the local community and inspire entrepreneurs, creatives, students, thinkers, and investors alike to explore the future of how businesses and communities interact. Enterprises will have the opportunity to surround themselves with this environment to foster creativity, promote learning, and nurture a strong sense of collaboration.
Also, HanaHaus is SAP’s first customer facing initiative that bridges the gap between research and standard development. The workspace offers new talents the opportunity to work on new technologies and acts as a central meeting hub to interact with stakeholders, businesses, and communities.
Although their visit was short, it was lovely to reconnect in-person and exchange ideas about the future of NVT and HanaHaus at SAP. Possible plans for expansion may be in place, however, finding the right location that fits the HanaHaus coworking concept is still work in progress.
Until next time, Auf Wiedersehen (see you again) Johanna and Martin!
