Designing the President by Stanford d.school

The 2020 U.S. Presidential election is unfolding to be one of the most expensive, divisive, and reactive in history. Created at the Stanford d.school, Designing the President is a nonpartisan, issue-agnostic, critical thinking approach to exploring individual and collective priorities on the required leadership qualities of the U.S President. HanaHaus gives you the chance to experience and participate in this d.school program.

In this immersive session of experiential play and scenario thinking, we’ll explore how design can help us be more thoughtful and deliberative voters. We’ll navigate ambiguity, learn from others, check our assumptions and biases, and give form to new ideas and insights. We’ll practice having conversations that promote productive dialog and discovery across differences. And, in the process, we hope to ignite personal agency and collective possibility to strengthen our democracy.

In many ways, that’s exactly what our founding fathers had in mind when they created a new form of a democratic government over 200 years ago that begins with "We the People… “

We’d love for you to join us to explore how we can be a more informed, proactive, and powerful participant in our next election.
