Many of us are wondering the same thing right about now: “What will the future of work look like in a post-pandemic world, and how will it affect me?” As this subject permeates through everyone’s mind, it’s time to have a candid conversation about the future of work and what to expect in the years to come.
You hear folks saying things like, “I love working remote because it saves me time on a commute and I don’t need to be in the office to get my work done”, or “I miss being in the office and socializing with colleagues” or even “I want to come into the office, but on a flexible schedule.” These are all valid points, and every company and individual is wrestling with this idea of what the return to work means for them.
On Thursday, September 29 @ 6:15 pm, HanaHaus Palo Alto is excited to announce two exciting panel discussions with renowned thought leaders and experts on the “Future of Work” moderated by the Host of The Silicon Valley Podcast, Shawn Flynn.
Join Founder of Orka, Corentin Cremet, CEO of Pulse, Raj Singh, and SAP Labs Future of Work Program Lead, Daniel Zimmer for a thoughtful conversation around flex and remote work models as well as how corporates and startups are approaching the return to work in 2022 and beyond. Following the first discussion, listen to Chief People Officer of Outset Medical, Stacey Porter, Chief People Officer of Talend, Michelle Sitzman, and Chief People Officer of Honeybook, Heather McLinden as they talk through some trends they are seeing in hiring, employee preferences with regards to flex work, and how to create a desirable company culture that caters to the needs of their employees.
The diversity of the panelists will offer a variety of unique backgrounds and perspectives as individuals and companies navigate the post-pandemic return to work. You can expect light bites, cold beverages, and a fantastic networking session with the other attendees after the panel discussions finish.

Shawn Flynn, Investment Banker and Podcast Host
Shawn Flynn started as a business owner, founding, and growing a successful company in Beijing China before returning to the US to work with companies ranging from fast growing Silicon Valley startups to established overseas public companies. He brings his international experience working with all stages and sectors of businesses to his role as Principal at a premier middle market investment bank with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial restructuring, and valuation.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCSD and speaks Mandarin and Spanish (lived abroad for almost 8 years) and he is the host of the award-winning Podcast "The Silicon Valley Podcast"

Corentin Cremet, Founder of Orka
After studying computer sciences at CNAM in Nantes and working for Microsoft and Orange, Corentin started to provide Business Development Services in 2005 for Startups (Kazaa, Viva La Mobile, Dojoboost, Stratos Interactive, …).
He has a wide network of startups entrepreneurs, media and IT companies in Central and Western Europe as well as the UK / US / Australia. Since 2010, Corentin has been developing relations in Eastern Europe, especially Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Kosovo.
Corentin has been an Organizer and Facilitator of Startup Weekends in several Western and Eastern countries (London, Nantes, Skopje, Banja Luka 2011, Rennes, Cluj and Sarajevo 2012); and he attends international conferences such as Mobile World Congress, CTIA, SXSW, Pioneers Festival…
He conducted market research and scouting innovative companies for one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers. Currently advising numerous startups in the US and Europe.
Raj Singh, CEO of Pulse
Raj Singh is Co-Founder and CEO of Pulse that enables automatic status for digital offices such as Slack. Raj has also worked in product management, engineering, strategy and consulting roles for numerous companies including Kodak Mobile, Dell Mobile, AOL, Blackberry, MobiTV, Tellme, Samsung, Turk Telekom, IGT and others. Daniel Zimmer, SAP Labs Future of Work Program Lead
For the last nine years, Daniel has had the opportunity to create memorable experiences facilitated by inspiring event formats and iconic spaces through startup accelerator projects, community facing co-working spaces and the SAP global Innovation Center Network (ICN). As the future of (hybrid) work lead at SAP Labs US, he is able to bring his experiences from their award-winning co-working spaces, future-oriented engineering teams and ecosystem connections, to all our teams at SAP Labs US to culturally transform to a hybrid organization.
Stacey Porter, Chief People Officer at Outset Medical
Stacey Porter joined Outset as Vice President, People Operations in November 2018. Stacey has deep expertise in organizational design, innovative talent practices, and employee engagement, and is often defined as a talent executive who is “of the people”. Prior to Outset, she was the Head of Global Talent Development for Intuitive Surgical, Inc., responsible for designing performance and succession practices, while developing leaders and high performing teams. Stacey has also held leadership roles at VMware and Roche, and has built a career on creating nimble, progressive organizations. She has a MSW and doctoral studies in industrial/organizational psychology. She is a sought-after speaker on building high performance cultures and developing skills for the future workplace.
Michelle Sitzman, Chief People Officer at Talend
Michelle joined Talend in 2019 bringing with her extensive experience in talent management. As Chief People Officer, she leads Talend’s global People and Workspaces teams. Prior to Talend, Michelle held People leadership roles in several of Silicon Valley’s fastest growing companies, including Equinix, VMware and most recently LinkedIn.
Heather McLinden, Chief People Officer at HoneyBook
Heather McLinden has over 20 years of experience in leading People teams and working in diverse, matrixed and global environments. She is currently the Chief People Officer at HoneyBook and has responsibility for organizational design and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, operations, systems, employee inclusion, belonging and workplace experience.
Prior to joining HoneyBook, Heather led the people team at Sauce Labs and held people leadership positions at Twilio, Intel and HP. Preceding her move to the Bay Area, Heather spent over eight years in Chicago working on leadership development programs at Baxter Healthcare and Illinois Institute of Technology as well as a consultant designing and implementing selection, promotion and development programs for a range of public and private organizations.
Heather holds a graduate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, has spent time teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level and is a professional member of the Society of Industrial / Organizational Psychologists (SIOP).
